Chapter Events
Beta Alpha chapter of Theta Tau Theta was
formed in 1946 in Sanger, California. Our chapter members are women from the
Fresno County area, working together for a common cause. We help local
diabetic children live healthier lives through the education and
relationships they experience at Bearskin Meadow Camp for Diabetic Youth.
We collaborate with school nurses to help us identify newly diagnosed
children who could most benefit from our help.
Beta Alpha chapter currently holds two fund raising events each year. All
proceeds from these events are used to provide scholarships for children
with diabetes to attend Bearskin Meadow Camp or as cash donations to the
Diabetic Youth Foundation, the organization that runs the camp. In
addition, we provide all the frozen vegetables for the camp as well as fresh
fruit through collaboration with our generous San Joaquin Valley farming
neighbors. Recent fund raising events have included gourmet wine-tasting
dinners at a local winery and a holiday themed theater event.
Our chapter promotes good fellowship which often results in long lasting
